Summer takes a toll on everybody’s hair that spends any time in the sun or at the beach. The best thing to do when you spend a day at the beach is to wear some form of protective head gear like a large straw hat or stay under a beach umbrella. But when you go to the beach you can’t spend all of your time out of the sun or under a hat. The next best thing you can do for you hair is to tuck it up into a loose pony tail or perhaps a tight braid or braids. Or roll it up at the base of your neck and hold it in place. A snood would work well here, if you can find one.
If you want to let it loose then take advantage of the moisture in the beach air. If your hair tends to curl, then let it curl more in the dampness. Give in to it. Don’t fuss with it. You can use large rollers and lightly roll it then unroll your hair for some big, long curls along the side of the face. Again use the damp of the ocean or beach or pool to let it curl more. Tuck up the back of the hair so you only have a few strands that will frame your face in a pretty manner. After you are finished at the beach or pool, then spend some maintenance time on your hair to keep it healthy. Photo Copyright of PR PHOTOS
